Tokyo Revengers Reveals Mikey’s Darkest Future

Tokyo Revengers has just dropped its fourth promotional video and a new key visual for the upcoming Santen Sensou-hen arc, and the new footage gives fans a much clearer look at the conflict waiting for Takemichi.

The new PV is particularly important because it reveals just how badly Takemichi's supposedly perfect future has gone wrong.

Takemichi Finally Gets His Happy Future — Then Everything Falls Apart

After everything Takemichi has gone through, the new PV begins with something that almost feels impossible for the series: Hinata Tachibana is alive.

Takemichi has seemingly reached the future he has been fighting for.

But his happiness doesn't last.

The new future reveals that Mikey has become the leader of Bonten, Japan's largest criminal organization.

Instead of being able to celebrate with the people he saved, Takemichi is once again forced to confront the consequences of Mikey's descent into darkness.

And that leads him back to the past.

Takemichi vs. Mikey

The new key visual may be the biggest tease yet.

It places Takemichi and Mikey directly opposite one another, with Mikey wearing the distinctive uniform of Kanto Manji Gang.

The image is important because these two characters once fought side by side as members of the Tokyo Manji Gang.

Now, Takemichi is preparing to stand against the person he has repeatedly tried to save.

The relationship between the two is therefore changing from friendship and loyalty into something far more complicated.

The New PV Reveals the Next Battle

The fourth trailer shows Takemichi returning to the past once again after discovering Mikey's fate.

This time, however, the objective isn't simply about saving Hinata.

Takemichi has to save Mikey.

That creates a different kind of conflict for the upcoming arc. Takemichi has already changed the future multiple times, but Mikey's darkness continues to find a way back into the timeline.

The new footage suggests that the Santen Sensou-hen will put Takemichi in an even more difficult position as he attempts to prevent another disastrous future.

New Mikey, Sanzu and Koko Designs Revealed

The official anime website has also released new character settings for Mikey, Haruchiyo Sanzu and Hajime Kokonoi as members of Kanto Manji Gang.

Their new appearances reflect the much darker world Takemichi is about to enter.

Mikey in particular looks almost unrecognizable compared with the carefree leader fans knew earlier in the story.

That visual change reinforces one of the central questions of the arc:

JO1's "IGNITE" Powers the New Trailer

The new PV also features "IGNITE," the opening theme performed by JO1.

The energetic track accompanies the footage of the upcoming conflict and gives the trailer a noticeably more aggressive tone.

The ending theme had already been announced as "Trickster" by go!go!vanillas, giving the upcoming season both of its main theme songs.

When Does Tokyo Revengers Santen Sensou-hen Start?

Tokyo Revengers: Santen Sensou-hen will begin broadcasting in Japan on October 2, 2026.

The broadcast time has also been updated. MBS and TBS will air the series every Friday at 1:23 a.m., with CBC at 1:53 a.m. and BS-TBS at 2:30 a.m. AT-X will begin airing it on October 3.

The series is also scheduled for a September 6 advance screening event in Tokyo, where JO1 will now join the event alongside the main cast.

Why This Trailer Matters

The most interesting part of the new trailer isn't simply the action.

It's the fact that Takemichi finally appears to have achieved the future he wanted, yet Mikey is still lost.

That makes the next battle much more personal.

Takemichi isn't fighting to change his own life anymore. He's going back because he refuses to leave Mikey behind.

And with the new key visual placing the two former allies on opposite sides, Santen Sensou-hen could become one of the most emotionally intense chapters of the Tokyo Revengers anime.
