Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle coming to Netflix this July, but not for everyone

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is finally getting its long-awaited streaming release — but where you can actually watch it depends entirely on where you live, and for a lot of fans outside Asia, Netflix isn't the answer.

The Streaming Rollout, Explained

Both Crunchyroll and Netflix confirmed the film's digital release date during the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle Celebration panel at Anime Expo 2026: July 28, 2026.

Here's the actual split:

• Crunchyroll streams the film worldwide starting July 28 at 8:00 AM PT, with the original Japanese audio plus an extensive lineup of dubs and subtitles across languages including English, German, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Vietnamese, and Russian
• Netflix will also carry the film starting the same day — but only across select Asia-Pacific territories, explicitly excluding Japan, Mainland China, and India
• For everyone outside that narrow Netflix window, Crunchyroll is the platform that actually matters
• The film will also be available to purchase digitally the same day on Prime Video, Apple TV, and YouTube Movies & TV, priced at $19.99

If you were hoping this would show up on your existing Netflix subscription, unless you're specifically in one of those select Asia-Pacific regions, it won't — Crunchyroll is where this is actually landing for the overwhelming majority of the global audience.

Why the Wait Has Been So Long

Infinity Castle first premiered in Japanese theaters back in July 2025, then went on to a genuinely massive theatrical run — grossing $793.4 million worldwide, opening in North America in September 2025. Despite that box office success, international streaming access has taken a full year to materialize, largely due to the film's extended theatrical re-release strategy, which kept pushing the digital date back.

Japan itself gets its home release even earlier, with a Blu-ray and DVD release landing on July 29 — though notably, that physical release is Japan-only for now, with no announced global physical release date yet.

What the Film Actually Covers

Infinity Castle is part one of a three-film trilogy adapting the final story arc of Koyoharu Gotouge's manga, continuing directly from the events of the mainline anime series (which premiered back in 2019). This installment throws Tanjiro and the Hashira into the shifting, labyrinthine Infinity Castle itself, kicking off the final confrontation between the Demon Slayer Corps and Muzan Kibutsuji's strongest demons.

For newer fans catching up, the earlier seasons and the Mugen Train film remain available on Crunchyroll in both sub and dub formats — worth a rewatch before diving into this one, since it picks up directly where the story left off.

Still No Word on Part 2

Despite the streaming date finally locking in, Ufotable has stayed completely silent on release plans for the second Infinity Castle film. Given how long this first film took to reach streaming after its theatrical debut, don't expect a quick follow-up announcement — but the international streaming rollout is itself a good sign that momentum toward Part 2's own eventual release is building.
